Dear Parents:
On behalf of our Pastor, Dr. Reginald U Lowery, and church family, we are delighted to have your child(ren) enrolled in our Vacation Bible School. This year’s theme, “God's Laboratory,” is a program that highly motivates children to understand God’s message and how to apply it in their daily lives.
Let’s find out what else is happening in Vacation Bible School! Please read every item.
Important Information
Parents, you must sign a permission form for your child(s) to participate in VBS.
· Our Vacation Bible School classes will run from Monday, June 16, to Friday, June 20, at 6 PM. A snack will be served. Bible School will end at 8 PM. Please pick up your child promptly. There will also be an adult class.
· All children must be brought to and picked up from the church by their parent/guardian or identified designee.
· Friday, June 20: Your child’s class will participate in a closing program as an outgrowth of what they have learned in Vacation Bible School.
· Saturday, June 21: As an incentive to show how much we appreciate their attendance and willingness to learn God’s Word, a picnic sponsored by Christian Education is being planned at the church. There will be inflatables, games, arts and crafts, face painting, and food. There will also be a session and activities for the adults.
Sincerely,
Minister Arnetta Robinson
Christian Education Ministry Leader
Dear Teachers:
Thank you for being committed to Jesus Christ and the Vacation Bible School Ministry. You are the “backbone” of Vacation Bible School. Remember, the focus of the program is to teach God’s Word so that children can practice it in their daily lives.
Please read and follow through with the following program plans:
· Teacher Arrival is 6 PM - Assemble in the Fellowship Hall to monitor children.
· Information - Please send information forms home for children for parents to complete and return the next day.
· Instructional Time - The allotted time that lessons are to be taught per day is approximately 45 minutes. Please use the time to the fullest. Wrap up your lessons when you hear the 7:45 PM bell.
· Roll Call - As soon as possible, during the first few minutes, take your attendance.
· Program - Each class is expected to give a presentation on Friday with their class. This includes songs, skits, etc.
· Picnic event - Saturday, June 21, at First Baptist from 1 to 5 PM. Permission forms will need to be completed for each child to take part in the picnic. Parents are responsible for bringing and picking up their children from church.
· Transportation - VBS participants are to be dropped off and picked up at First Baptist Church promptly at the start and end times so no part of the days' events will be missed.
· Dismissal - 8 PM with prayer. Remain with your students until they are dismissed.
