On June 11 and June 12, we celebrated our pastor and first lady's 14th year with festivities of food, family, faith & fun. The elephant is symbolized in the Bible with qualities of temperance, loyalty, compassion & patience; qualities our pastor and first lady exemplify as well.
Although there was a change in the venue because of the weather, First Baptist Church of Fuquay-Varina showered love for Pastor Reginald Lowery and First Lady Eva Lowery as Part One of their anniversary weekend took place. This year marked 14 years of pastorship and was a time to recognize their leadership by modeling compassion, loyalty, and patience as they counsel and spiritually guide the people of First Baptist Church. As the food filled the tummies, love and the holy spirit filled the room and were evident through song and speech.
The Pastor's Anniversary Committee thanks everyone that had a part in making this event come together and looks forward to what Part Two has in store.
Our morning worship celebrating the Lowery's 14th pastoral anniversary features guest speaker Rev. Dr. Kenneth R. Hammond, pastor emeritus of Union Baptist Church of Durham, North Carolina. His message, Keep Preachin' was a call to continue the path of keep preaching and keep praying. The events were capped off with a ceremonial recommitment between the Lowery's & the First Baptist Church congregation.
