North Carolina and The Green Book

“Of the 66 identified by the North Carolina African American Heritage Commission, four Green Book operations are still in operation: Speight's Auto Service in Durham, Friendly Barbershop in Durham, Magnolia House in Greensboro, and Dove's Auto Service in Kinston.”

An original publication of Victor Green’s ‘The Negro Travelers’ Green Book’ is on display at the North Carolina Museum of History through March 15, 2020.

Community Event

Our Health Ministry will provide a training class in AED/CPR on Saturday, February 29, at 10 a.m.  

This training is
for any participant that wants to learn how to give CPR, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely, and effective manner.

Family and Friends non-certified training cost is $25/person
AED/CPR two-year certification training cost is $55/person 

Cash or check accepted  
Checks are payable to CPR Carolina

Registration is required and ends February 21. *Walk-ins will not be admitted the day of the class.*
