Palm Sunday, Holy Week, and Easter

Let us use this time at home to reflect on the true meaning of sacrifice and what Jesus Christ did for us all.

In a time such as this, it is the time to call on our Savior as the infinite compassion and love of the Holy Spirit will see us through to better days.

Following the recommendation of public health officials to exercise physical proximity precautions surrounding COVID-19, and in thinking of the health of the congregation and visitors, all in-person church services and church-sponsored events are canceled for the week of April 12.
First Baptist Church of Fuquay Varina continues to monitor the situation as events develop and will make a decision on upcoming events and services in the coming days. Thank you for your understanding as we as a community navigate through this public health matter.

Join First Baptist Church of Fuquay Varina online through Facebook Live (FB @FirstBaptistFV1912).  Link in on Sunday morning at 11 a.m. as we want to remain connected even during this time that we are apart.  The recorded version of the live stream will be on this site and YouTube within 24 hours of the live stream.

During this time, remember those most vulnerable, the elderly and children. Call elderly residents to check if they are in need. If you’re shopping, consider buying items for them, to help minimize their exposure to public settings. Schools are closed for the next few weeks and children who depend on school breakfasts and lunches will be missing those important meals. As of March 22, Wake County Public School System has updated its 'Free Meals for Children' page with additional information and additional meal service sites that will be in operation starting March 23. Help ease their food insecurity by considering donating to local food banks.

While we are not meeting as a unified body, we can be an individual church by ministering to the needs of our community.

Rebranded: Forget the Past; God is Doing a New Thing.

"Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland." Isaiah 43:18-19
